The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out sassa status into a superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's sassa status no fully functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The assistance point established for intervention ordeals a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to enable the servicing of all shoppers and raise entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
